Environmental Sustainability
We are committed to being Carbon Neutral. This year, we invested into the below carbon offset projects to contribute to global avoidance and reduction of atmospheric carbon emissions and to support communities in emerging economies to transition to low-carbon economies. The offsetting projects we fund are certified by Gold Standard - established by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2003 as a best practice standard.

Our Pledge
We are committed to planning towards a more sustainable future. Whilst we have offset all of our emissions through a carbon offsetting scheme, we pledge to focus on reducing emissions across our business to:
Net Zero
Alongside becoming a carbon-neutral company, North’s aim is to achieve Net Zero emissions.
Leading climate scientists have stated that to halt climate change and the subsequent impacts, a net zero economy is essential. The term net zero means achieving a balance between carbon emissions emitted into the atmosphere, and the carbon removed from it.
The most significant contribution North is making towards minimising environmental impact, is reducing carbon emissions. While having the status of a carbon neutral company, North intends to go beyond this to achieve net zero, including Scope 3 emissions, alongside Scope 1 and 2 in their reduction target, which means identifying indirect emissions, such as staff mileage and goods and services purchased by the company. North’s journey to net zero, aligns with UK Government targets of net zero emissions by 2050.
