North has joined Techies Go Green, a movement of IT and tech-oriented companies who are committed to decarbonising their businesses.
It joins the community of organisations who are aiming to become carbon-neutral by 2030. Techies Go Green enables each member to purposefully improve their energy efficiency by collaborating and sharing practical know-how. Started by IT distributor DataSolutions, more than 200 companies have signed up to the initiative to date.
In 2022, North offset all of its emissions through the Gold Standard carbon offsetting scheme, to become carbon neutral, and has pledged to continue the focus on reducing emissions. We intend to go beyond this to achieve net zero, including Scope 3 emissions, alongside Scope 1 and 2 in our reduction target, identifying indirect emissions, such as staff mileage and goods and services purchased by the company.
North’s recent Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance Impact Report demonstrates our commitment to planning towards a more sustainable future. The report captures our environmental sustainability performance and sets out the objectives and actions we will take to reduce, measure and monitor our impact through energy and sustainability-related efficiencies.
