We are passionate about our people and about providing them with an environment and the opportunity to develop and grow. We put our people first, we listen and work to deliver continuous improvements across our business, measuring our performance and using feedback as an opportunity to adapt and improve as we learn.
Diversity, equality and inclusion
We’re committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. This creates a positive environment for all North colleagues, and drives innovation, resilience and sustainability.
Measurement is a key part of this commitment. We collect data covering many aspects of diversity, including gender, ethnicity and age. By doing so, we gain valuable insights into the composition of our workforce, allowing us to identify areas for improvement and track progress over time.
Delivering a positive social impact
We are committed to supporting the communities that we work in. We believe that by giving back to our communities, we can collectively make a significant difference, and we do so through volunteer initiatives, campaigns and apprenticeships.
Our Volunteering Programme empowers our colleagues to create a positive impact on the causes they care about individually, or as teams. From volunteering with our charity partner, The Trussell Trust, to cleaning up canals in Edinburgh, to wildlife conservation in Southampton, we are proud that our colleagues choose to support the communities they live and work in.
Apprenticeship Programme
Our apprenticeship programme invests in the next generation by fostering skill development to bridge the gap between education and industry. It brings young people the opportunity to kickstart their careers and gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of technology.
Our apprentices are actively involved in projects that make a positive impact on our clients and communities. Their roles include safety and security, fire emergency and security, and network cabling apprenticeships. Find out more about our apprentices here.
