North Secures contract to Support Scotland’s largest Regional Transport Partnership

North has secured a contract to provide long-term security and safety support for Strathclyde Partnership Transport (SPT), Scotland’s largest Regional transport partnership.

SPT required an innovative and established partner to support and maintain their newly upgraded and fully integrated and scalable video surveillance solution.  The three-year contract for CCTV and Physical Security Maintenance was awarded following a successful tender process where North demonstrated their extensive experience in delivering critical public services in complex environments.

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is a regional transport partnership for the Strathclyde area of Scotland, responsible for planning and delivering transport solutions across the region. Responsibilities include operating the regions bus stations and the Glasgow Subway - the third oldest underground railway in the world, as well as helping to keep communities connected through the provision of specialist transport services.

North has extensive experience of delivering intelligent CCTV and surveillance systems that are designed, installed and supported to create safer, more secure environments.  With this contract award, North’s specialist security support team will work closely with SPT to provide robust 24/7/365 safety and security services to protect their passengers, employees, buildings and public spaces.

Commenting on the award, North’s Service Delivery Manager, Charlotte Malone said:

“We are thrilled to be awarded this important contract to provide 24/7/365 support for SPT’s critical CCTV and Physical Security operations.  With many years’ experience of supporting critical environments for transport providers, our team are excited to now be working with SPT and are looking forward to our ensuring the ongoing and efficient security of their people, passengers and places.”
