North Shortlisted For Two National Awards For ESG and Sustainability
North has been shortlisted for two national sustainability awards, recognising the progress made in embedding environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles across the business.
The organisation has been nominated for ESG Best Performance of the Year at the Green Awards UK and the Transformation Award at the National Sustainability Awards, with both shortlists highlighting North’s commitment to integrating sustainability into the way it operates, supports customers and delivers long-term value.
The National Sustainability Awards celebrate organisations demonstrating innovation, leadership and measurable impact across a wide range of sustainability disciplines, while the Green Awards UK celebrate organisations driving environmental responsibility and positive change through sustainable business practices.
The nominations highlight North’s approach to making ESG an integral part of the business rather than a standalone initiative. Over the past year, continued investment has strengthened environmental performance, enhanced social value delivery and reinforced governance, ensuring ESG is embedded across business operations, supply chain engagement and customer delivery.

We are always looking for ways to improve and have expanded our ESG reporting capabilities, strengthened data collection and measurement, and developed more robust processes.
The nominations also recognise North’s commitment to understanding the changing priorities of its customers. By listening to customer needs and responding with stronger sustainability credentials, meaningful social value programmes and rigorous governance, the business continues to evolve its ESG strategy to meet growing expectations across the sectors it serves. We don’t do this to get nominated for awards, but it is nice to see our hard work and commitment getting that seal of approval. “
