North nominated for ESG Company of the Year at Fire & Security Matters Awards
North has been nominated for ESG Company of the Year at the Fire & Security Matters (FSM) Awards, recognising its progress in embedding environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles across its operations in the fire and security sector.
The FSM Awards celebrate innovation and achievement across the industry. The ESG Team of the Year category recognises organisations demonstrating a strong commitment to ESG, including innovation within their own operations and across their supply chain, while evolving to become more responsible employers.
The nomination reflects a comprehensive transformation of North’s ESG approach across its 300-strong organisation. Over the past year, ESG leadership and governance have been strengthened, enabling a more structured and integrated approach to sustainability.
Progress has been delivered across all three ESG pillars, including improvements in environmental performance, expanded social value programmes delivered in partnership with local communities, and enhanced governance through strengthened policies and supplier engagement.

“ESG is a team effort across our entire organisation, as a key pillar of our strategy and a way to differentiate ourselves, and this shortlisting reflects the work done by colleagues throughout North. It is truly a team effort, from our leadership giving it the weight it deserves, to our people on the ground delivering social value in local communities, to the colleagues who’ve engaged with our volunteering platform, our ESG training, and our monthly communications. Being shortlisted for this award is a reflection of that collective effort, and one we are proud of.”
The FSM Awards will take place on 2nd July 2026 at the Conventry Building Society Arena.
