North achieves Investors in People Gold Accreditation
North has been awarded Gold Accreditation by Investors in People, recognising its continued progress as a high-performing, people-centred organisation.
The accreditation highlights North’s strong leadership, values-driven culture and commitment to continuous improvement, alongside its ability to deliver outstanding outcomes for customers. The assessment also noted significant improvements in customer and colleague engagement as well as continued strengthening across Operational Assurance, including health & safety, environmental management, cyber-security, and business continuity.
Gold Accreditation reflects the substantial progress made since North’s previous assessment, embedding best practices across leadership, communication, culture and development. With only 17% of accredited organisations achieving Gold, the recognition places North among a select group demonstrating consistently high standards across the business.
North adopted the Investors in People framework four years ago, establishing a rigorous benchmark to measure how effectively it supports and empowers its people. The framework evaluates key areas including leadership, engagement, culture and ways of working, while providing a clear roadmap for continuous improvement.
David Crawford, CEO at North, said:
“The Gold Accreditation reflects the passion, commitment and expertise of our colleagues. It recognises not only the strength of our culture and leadership, but the impact this has in enabling us to deliver outstanding outcomes for our customers, while continuing to invest in our people, capability and future growth”.
Coreen Bone, Chief People Officer at North, added:
“We are really proud to have achieved Investors in People Gold. This recognition belongs to our colleagues, whose honesty, engagement and feedback – particularly through our colleague forum, North Voice – have shaped how we work and how we keep improving. It reflects the progress we’ve made together, while reminding us that we’re still on a journey to be even better at creating a place where people can thrive.”
