Supporting Safer Facilities for the NHS Foundation Trust

Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust operates over 90 facilities across County Durham, Darlington, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York, serving approximately 2 million residents.

The Trust has partnered with North for over 15 years to deliver and support future-proofed CCTV and access control systems across most healthcare facilities.

Their CCTV provision is part of their physical security infrastructure and is used to support the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, buildings and property. It covers external areas, entrances and exits, and communal and public-facing spaces to keep their buildings safe and secure.

Their access control systems are used to manage authorised entry to buildings and controlled areas, helping to prevent unauthorised access and support overall site security.

North first secured the installation of CCTV and access control systems at Roseberry Park Hospital in Middlesbrough. North was then appointed to manage and maintain access control systems across multiple inpatient and outpatient facilities, which involved consolidating multiple legacy systems into a single centralised server.

More recently, North partnered with the trust to deploy a large-scale video surveillance upgrade across 20 sites, replacing end-of-life systems with a future-proofed CCTV solution that integrates fully into existing security infrastructure.

North continues to support the trust, ensuring their systems are maintained to the highest standards of security and performance to ensure maximum uptime to keep their facilities safe and secure.
